Turkey Hunting Gear Guide

Turkey hunting gear is simple, but every piece has a job. Concealment and calls matter most.

Camouflage

Full camouflage, including a face mask and gloves, keeps a turkey’s sharp eyes from picking out a hunter.

Calls

Carry a box call, a pot call and a few mouth calls, plus an owl or crow locator. See Turkey Hunting Tactics.

Comfort

A seat cushion or small chair helps a hunter sit still for long periods. Bug and tick repellent is a must in many regions.

Decoys and optics

Lightweight decoys and a compact pair of binoculars round out the kit.
